Lucky me on rooms at the Potala Guest House. I got a top corner room, so that means early morning sun, which means HEAT when the electricity is off.

Nepal is still in the throes of major power outages, or "load shedding". I was supposed to be buying sweaters this morning, but got seriously side-tracked. Last night I'd seen these beautiful lacey pashmina scarves, so I talked to the lady again today, and asked for a card. Turns out that she's the sister of one of my carpet suppliers, so I went over to see him, then came back and placed an order with her.

I'd had pashmina scarves on my wish list anyway, and these are a beautiful variation. Wish I had one now, I'm freezing.
