Chonden said that the influx of Buddhists is because of the full moon tonight, it's an important date.  We went out to Boudha, and the stupa was splendidly decked out in new prayer flags, butter lamps and lights. We'd gone there for thermoses and tea sets, I like what we found, just there weren't as many as I wanted. My two sponsored kids,Tarchin and Nyima, were actually home from school in India, so I got to have tea with them and their father as well.My favorite  buy so far has been granny square crocheted cotton scarves in excellent colors.  They could be used as a belt as well.  The same person also had nice big rag rugs made of scrap silk and cotton.  I liked the one that she had on the floor, the colors were more blended.  She said that they would all be like that when they're washed, as the colors slightly bleed.  I've got to remember to put that on the hang tag.  I also bought placemats of the same material, so will assume that they'll do the same.
