I finally got to meet in person with my new shipper today, as we have only corresponded through email. Imagine my surprise when Margarita del Rio turns out to be a former Chicago girl, a blue eyed blonde from the Swedish-American part of N. Clark Street. Everyone has a story to tell, hers is a good one. In the small world department, she also used to have a Jewish boyfriend, so in the summer, they´d go up to Nippersink, which is about 8 minutes from the farm, and she fondly remembers the fabulous chocolates at Anderson´s Candy in Richmond.

A good chunk of my leg work is now done, so tomorrow it´s time to jump in and start making orders. My big accomplishment for today is getting at least a weak grasp of the inter-city bus system, I´m trying to frugally avoid taxis, it´s either shank´s mares, or the bus.
